As Anastasio tried to flee, he struck another man who tried to stop him. The Rangers fan was quickly banned from MSG for life. <\/p>\n<p>Now Joseph Urciuoli of Connecticut is suing Anastasio and the World\u2019s Most Famous Arena for negligence, claiming he was one of those struck by the Staten Island man. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/ranger-thug-who-sucker-punched-two-after-NYR-sued-3.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Madison Square Garden entrance\" class=\"wp-image-24793931\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/ranger-thug-who-sucker-punched-two-after-NYR-sued-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/ranger-thug-who-sucker-punched-two-after-NYR-sued-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/ranger-thug-who-sucker-punched-two-after-NYR-sued-3.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>The World\u2019s Most Famous Arena is also being sued over the June assault.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Urciuoli was injured \u201cwhen he was viciously assaulted, attacked and\/or struck in the face and head by the ossified and belligerent patron \u2026 James Anastasio,\u201d he charged in court papers. <\/p>\n<p>Urciuoli accuses MSG of having inadequate security and for allowing Anastasio to become intoxicated, according to the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNone of us should be judged on our worst 30 seconds,\u201d Anastasio\u2019s criminal lawyer, Jason Goldman, said. \u201cHe is grateful to learn from this experience without having to spend a single day in jail.
