The school announced the hiring on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>It will be no easy task to rebuild Nebraska, a program that has fallen on hard times and whose favorite son, Scott Frost, was fired this season after a disastrous run as head coach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScott Frost is a coach that I truly respect and consider a friend,\u201d Rhule said on ESPN\u2019s College <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>Day. \u201cAnd so I know that program has a good culture. I know they know how to work. Now it\u2019s about just all of us picking up, moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nebraska finished its 2022 season on a high note, beating Iowa 24-17 on Friday to finish 4-8. Even that looks like it will be a climb.<br \/>Rhule, who was owed over $40 million by Carolina after getting fired, didn\u2019t want to stay away from coaching for long.<\/p>\n<p>Rhule was fired by the Panthers in October just five games into his third season at the helm. Carolina was just 11-27 in two-plus seasons under the 47-year-old. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing away from it, the more you miss the players, the more you miss the locker room and coaching,\u201d Rhule said. \u201cAnd then this is Nebraska.
