Jay Critch was also in attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children of Promise\u2019s mission is \u201cto partner<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with children and families impacted by mass incarceration to dismantle the stigma and heal from the trauma plaguing Black and Brown communities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event featured food giveaways and plenty of exciting activities for all children.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a video message, Casanova addressed the children, parents, guardians, and volunteers at Children of Promise. \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You already know what it is man, it\u2019s\u00a0 2x,\u201d he says in the clip. \u201cChildren of Promise we giving back. We don\u2019t stop giving back behind bars. He was charged with crimes that took place from New York to Florida including playing a role in a shooting in Florida in July 2020, a robbery in New York City in 2018, and trafficking over 100 kilograms of marijuana.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Casanova faces up to 60 years in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back in August <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Casanova\u2019s<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> co-defendant Donovan \u201cDonnie Love\u201d Gillard was reportedly sentenced to over two decades in prison. <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vladtv.com\/article\/286146\/godfather-of-gorilla-stone-gang-in-casanova-case-gets-over-20-years-for\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VladTV<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported that the alleged \u201cGodfather\u201d of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation received 20 years and eight months on racketeering charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cGillard\u2019s leadership role meant that he was responsible for ensuring that his many reports followed the gang\u2019s rules, including retaliating against rival gang members who threatened the gang\u2019s narcotics dealing or its overall reputation and stature,\u201d three federal prosecutors wrote in the sentencing brief (per <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VladTV<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cGillard was responsible for ensuring that his reports learned the Gorilla Stone oath and its various rules, and he played a role in recruiting young members to the violent gang,\u201d the statement continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In September, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bobby Shmurda<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> shared footage from a FaceTime call he had with Cassanova.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taking to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/itsbobbyshmurda\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=d4e39294-2388-4811-83cb-bab8af37b6a0\">Instagram<\/a>, Bobby Shmurda revealed a photo of the call where the two Brooklynites were showing off their muscular physiques. \u201cFreedom is a must,\u201d Bobby\u2019s\u00a0 caption read, while Casanova shared the same photo and said: \u201cWe ain\u2019t nothing but some Hoochie Daddy\u2019s.\u201d<\/span>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"author\" itemprop=\"author\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/Person\"><meta itemprop=\"name\" content=\"Rashad Grove\">by Rashad Grove<\/div>\n<p><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
