There is no end to the corruption and incompetence that is being rewarded by allowing people to keep their jobs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Martin Garfinkle<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Staten Island<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kudos to The Post for uncovering this distressing report. One can only guess how many more incidents committed by law-enforcement personnel remain under wraps.<\/p>\n<p>I support the police and feel that, especially today, they have a thankless job. However, imagine the number of times these perpetrators may have investigated and even arrested people for crimes they themselves have been found guilty of.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a sad commentary on the main line of defense society has to avoid complete anarchy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jerry Chi<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>etta<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Monticello<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While I\u2019m not condoning the behavior, this article stated that the NYPD makes up 52% of city workers arrested compared to 14% FDNY and 12% Corrections staff.<\/p>\n<p>You failed to mention that the NYPD has 55,000 uniformed and non-uniformed members, compared to about 17,000 in the FDNY and 7,500 in Corrections. That should have been stated.<\/p>\n<p><em>Chris Quattrocchi<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Staten Island<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I have no problem whatsoever with allowing cops who break the law to remain on the job.<\/p>\n<p>The Post routinely reports on violent criminals who have racked up 20 or 30 prior convictions but somehow remain free to slash and rape again. Police remain on their job despite their bad acts? Tell someone who cares. <\/p>\n<p><em>Robert Mangi<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Brooklyn<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Issue_Criticism_of_Mayor_Adams_for_neglecting_NYCHA_residents_while_helping_migrants_in_the_city\"><\/span><strong>The Issue: Criticism of Mayor Adams for neglecting NYCHA residents while helping migrants in the city.<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I share New York City Housing Authority President Daniel Barber\u2019s disgust with Mayor Adams\u2019 decision to support migrants from Texas while ignoring NYCHA residents (\u201cWhat about fixing NYCHA!\u201d Nov. 24).<\/p>\n<p>The disparity of taxpayer dollars being allocated to the migrants and NYCHA tenants is wrong \u2014 but I have no problem with my tax dollars being directed to help both groups.<\/p>\n<p>The two people responsible for increasing the suffering of NYCHA tenants and the migrants are former Mayor Bill de Blasio and Mayor Adams.<\/p>\n<p>De Blasio ignored the basic needs of NYCHA tenants during his entire tenure as mayor.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, tax dollars go to pay longtime Adams friend Lisa White, strangely hired for the lofty position of deputy commissioner of employee relations at the NYPD. <\/p>\n<p><em>Gene Roman<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Bronx<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The problem of funds being diverted isn\u2019t exclusive to New York: It\u2019s in almost every major city, and it is heartbreaking when low-income citizens, especially African-Americans, are pushed to the side or ignored for illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>What is being experienced is the new drive by city, state and federal agencies to marginalize low-income citizens to make room for others.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> of musical chairs, as chairs are removed to the point where there aren\u2019t enough for the participants.<\/p>\n<p>There isn\u2019t enough money at the local level to support everyone in need, so somebody will be left out.
