It is\u00a0Meta\u2019s lead privacy regulator within the European Union, and has 13 more inquiries into the social media group.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>In September, the watchdog hit its Instagram subsidiary with a\u00a0record fine\u00a0of $420 million, which\u00a0Meta\u00a0plans to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eal.\u00a0Meta added in its statement on Monday that it was reviewing the decision related to the latest fine.<\/p>\n<p>The DPC regulates Apple, Google, Twitter, Tiktok and other <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> giants due to the location of their EU headquarters in Ireland. It currently has 40 inquiries open into such firms.<\/p>\n<p>The regulator has the power to impose fines of up to 4% of a company\u2019s global revenue under the EU\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Data Protection Regulation\u2019s \u201cOne Stop Shop\u201d regime introduced in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The DPC said mitigating factors in Monday\u2019s decision\u00a0\u2013 which had been approved by all other relevant EU regulators \u2013\u00a0included the actions Facebook had taken.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll keep going until the behavior does change,\u201d Ireland\u2019s Data Privacy Commissioner  Helen Dixon told Irish national broadcaster RTE on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Meta shares were down nearly 2% on Monday.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
