Dozens of residents spoke about their concerns, at times interrupting supervisors, including some attendees who were escorted out of the room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese conversations need to focus on real issues. We can spend the next two years as we\u2019ve spent the last two, fighting over conspiracy theories promoted on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> by people who know nothing about\u2014\u201d Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer (R) said at the meeting before he was cut off by booing from attendees.<\/p>\n<p>Board Chair Bill Gates (R), who repeatedly admonished attendees for the interruptions, reiterated his acknowledgement of the Election Day printer malfunctions and indicated the board will conduct an \u201ceven deeper dive\u201d to fix the problem moving forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me be abundantly clear, there has never been a perfect election, and this was not a perfect election,\u201d Gates said. \u201cThere were issues, but we were transparent about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lake, a Trump ally who called on supporters to show up to the meeting, repeatedly posted clips on her Twitter and Truth Social accounts touting supporters who spoke at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWatching you pledge allegiance to my flag was disgusting, the way that you\u2019ve sold us out,\u201d said resident <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/elections\/2022\/09\/08\/an-ex-professor-spreads-election-myths-across-us-one-town-time\/\">David Clements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of praising the people that were running the election, you need to fire them for incompetence, because this whole thing was a sham,\u201d said resident Randy Miller, who also criticized the 2-minute limit per speaker along with multiple other attendees.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cYou are violating the Constitution, you are violating our rights by saying you can only petition the government for two minutes, where\u2019s your authority to do that? Who died and made you King?\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n<p>Under state law, counties have until Monday to certify their vote canvasses unless they meet a specific exception. Most county boards voted to certify.<\/p>\n<p>But in Cochise County, a rural jurisdiction in Arizona\u2019s southeastern corner, the board\u2019s two Republicans voted against certification on Monday. The Arizona secretary of state\u2019s office has promised to sue the county by 5 p.m. local time.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Mohave County, a GOP-controlled county in the opposite corner of the state that last week delayed its certification in protest of the Maricopa malfunctions, unanimously voted to certify on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Two Republicans who last week supported the delay indicated they were certifying \u201cunder duress,\u201d noting the legal implications if they missed the state deadline.\n<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
