This one was first announced on Nov. 16 but not scheduled until now.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Following the fall of FTX, the urgent need for legislation has never been greater. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FSCDems?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FSCDems<\/a> anticipated this need &amp; have already been working for several months under the leadership of Chairwoman Waters, w\/ RM McHenry, to craft bipartisan legislation.<\/p>\n<p>: <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RyttaaSqX7\">https:\/\/t.co\/RyttaaSqX7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. House Committee on Financial Services (@FSCDems) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FSCDems\/status\/1592934095625011201?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 16, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>The House committee said in its previous announcement that it expected to hear from individuals and companies involved in the events that led to FTX filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, including former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, Alameda Research and Binance. Though Bankman-Fried was reportedly still based in the Bahamas at the time of publication, New York Times journalist Andrew Sorkin said on Nov. 24 that the former CEO\u00a0intended to speak at a conference in New York City on Nov. 30.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee has also scheduled a hearing on \u201cLessons Learned from the FTX Collapse\u201d for Dec. 1, with Commodity Futures Trading Commission Cchair Rostin Behnam scheduled to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear as a witness. It\u2019s unclear if Bankman-Fried will also speak to the committee should he remain in the country following his New York <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>BlockFi files for bankruptcy, cites FTX collapse for its troubles<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FTX has been a target for lawmakers and regulators around the world following the firm filing for bankruptcy in the District of Delaware on Nov. 11.
