Full Winners List<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em> was the big winner at the 2022 Gotham Awards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The film, which went into the night up for three awards, was named best feature during the event Monday at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. <em>Everything Everywhere<\/em> actor Ke Huy Quan also won best supporting performance for his work in the film. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>Till<\/em>\u2018s Danielle Deadwyler won the award for best lead performance but wasn\u2019t able to attend the show, so her director Chinonye Chukwu accepted the award on her behalf and read some remarks Deadwyler prepared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Since last year, the Gotham Awards has recognized performers in gender-neutral categories.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>T\u00e1r<\/em> went into Monday night with a leading five film nominations, followed by <em>Aftersun<\/em> with four nominations. <em>The Inspection<\/em> and <em>Women Talking<\/em> each scored three nominations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    While <em>The Inspection<\/em> and <em>Women Talking<\/em> didn\u2019t win any awards, <em>T\u00e1r<\/em> won for best screenplay and <em>Aftersun<\/em> helmer Charlotte Wells won the breakthrough director award.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    On the TV side, <em>Mo<\/em> and <em>Pachinko<\/em> won the breakthrough <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> honors, and Ben Whishaw won the award for outstanding performance in a new series for his work in <em>This Is Going to Hurt<\/em>. <em>We Need to Talk About Cosby<\/em> won for breakthrough nonfiction series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    In addition to the competitive awards, the Gotham Awards honored a number of individuals with tributes, including Adam Sandler, Michelle Williams, the cast of <em>Fire Island<\/em>, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Audible founder Don Katz, Focus execs Peter Kujawski and Jason Cassidy and, posthumously, Sidney Poitier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Paul Dano presented his <em>Fabelmans<\/em> co-star Williams with her honor and indicated that he was filling in for Steven Spielberg because he has COVID.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Recalling a recent conversation he had with Williams about being young actors in Hollywood, Dano said he thought, \u201cImagine if that teenage girl knew that at the midpoint of her career she\u2019d be receiving a tribute award at the Gothams from none other than Steven Spielberg, and what would she have thought?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    He later added: \u201cAnd then I thought, \u2018Well, what if we had to tell that girl that Steven got COVID?\u2019 She\u2019d be like, \u2018What\u2019s COVID?\u2019 and that \u2018Paul Dano was going to introduce you?\u2019 She\u2019d be like, \u2018Who the fuck is Paul Dano?\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    During the Poitier honor, Jonathan Majors announced the creation of the Gotham Sidney Poitier Initiative, which he called \u201can ambitious set of programs\u201d that aim to expand on Poitier\u2019s legacy to support the next generation of filmmakers, through the pillars of mentorship, scholarship, project funding and career advancement. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The Safdie brothers presented Sandler with his tribute, having the unfortunate distinction of following the Poitier tribute.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content-image \/\/  \">\n<figure class=\"o-figure   size-large alignnone lrv-u-max-width-100p\" style=\"width:100%; the other \u201cleaders\u201d at Focus, who Field also referenced; and other specialty film companies.
