In the two interviews that had been released on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a> at press time, SBF speaks about many of the major questions connected with the collapse of FTX.<\/p>\n<p>The first interview was conducted Nov. 6 and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6DezodR9hNI\">released<\/a> Nov. 29 on YouTube. \u201cI\u2019ve started to trust my gut on things like this,\u201d SBF said, explaining why he selected the relatively unknown figure to speak to. Fong has less than 10,000 subscribers to her channel. \u201cHere\u2019s someone who will, like, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach this from at least a somewhat neutral and interested vantage point,\u201d he said of her. He continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe as a society, in my opinion, my humble opinion, have spent quite enough time this week trying to figure out whether anyone living in [the FTX residential facility in] Albany [Bahamas] was polyamorous [&#8230;] and the answer is too boring for people to believe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The recording began with SBF saying, \u201cYou don\u2019t get into the situation we got in if you, like, make all the right decisions.\u201d Taking her cue from that, Fong started her interview by asking about the \u201cbackdoor\u201d that allowed SBF \u201cto execute commands that could alter the [FTX] company\u2019s financial records without alerting others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SBF expressed surprise at the  very idea. \u201cAnd this is something I would be doing?\u201d he asked. \u201cThat I can tell you is definitely not true. I don\u2019t even know how to code. [\u2026] I literally never even opened the code for any of FTX.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This set the tone for the rest of the conversation, in which Fong politely asked hardball questions and SBF answered with seeming openness. <\/p>\n<p>SBF went on to comment on FTX\u2019s FTT coin. \u201cI think it had real value. That being said, there are a few problems. [\u2026] This was f*****g embarrassing given my background. [\u2026] I think it was basically more legit than a lot of tokens in some ways. Its was more economically underpinned than the average token was,\u201d he said.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIlliquidity didn\u2019t cause the crash,\u201d SBF continued. Rather, it was \u201cthe massive correlation of things during market moves, especially when they are triggered by fear over the position itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SBF agreed with Fong that \u201cthe recovery looks pretty slim\u201d for international customers, while \u201cU.S. is a hundred percent. If its Amazon account had not been turned off, \u201cthey could already be withdrawing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: FTX collapse drives curiosity around Sam Bankman-Fried, Google data shows<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking about his political activities, SBF said, \u201cI donated about the same to both parties. [\u2026] All of my Republican donations were dark.\u201d He addressed rumors about money laundering of Ukrainian donations:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe Ukraine one? I wish I could have pulled that off. I wish. I didn\u2019t fully understand the goal of it. I was helping Ukraine launder funds for the Democratic Party? I don\u2019t know why Ukraine is laundering funds for the Democratic Party. I don\u2019t know how they would or why they would.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tiffany was not only able to bag one interview with SBF\u2026 she was able to bag a second. Dang lol. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GK1cMFYVVG\">pic.twitter.com\/GK1cMFYVVG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 xNFT Danny  \u25ce (@DannyCryptohodl) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DannyCryptohodl\/status\/1597669185207029761?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 29, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In the second, undated, phone interview, SBF <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xP54LZB3WRw&amp;t=3s\">addressed<\/a> the use of FTX customer funds by Alameda Research. Struggling for words, SBF said that he should have thought more about \u201cwhat a hyper-correlated cross-scenario looks like. It\u2019s the oldest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> in the book in finance. [\u2026] There was no one person in charge of monitoring risk positions at FTX.\u201d Fong pressed for specifics from the situation, with little success.<\/p>\n<p>SBF took a moderate position on the role of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) in the FTX downfall. \u201cThings would certainly be a lot more stable and there would be a lot more ability to generate liquidity [\u2026] and I don\u2019t know for sure.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Asked about the impact of the collapse of FTX and surrounding scandal on him, SBF said, \u201cI wake up each day and think about what happened, and I  have hours per day to ruminate on it.
