Details are being kept close to the vest, but the project is said to be a political thriller in which De Niro will play a former president.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Netflix declined comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Newman and Oppenheim will pen a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> from a story by Newman, Oppenheim and Michael Schmidt. Newman, who has an overall deal at Netflix, and Oppenheim will executive produce with De Niro and Jonathan Glickman of Panoramic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Should <em>Zero Day<\/em> get a green light, it will mark the first ongoing series role in De Niro\u2019s career. He scored an Emmy nomination in 2017 for playing Bernie Madoff in HBO\u2019s movie <em>The Wizard of Lies<\/em> and has made a handful of guest appearances on <em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> and <em>Extras<\/em>. He\u2019s repped by CAA, Grubman Shire and RMG.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    In addition to <em>Narcos<\/em> and <em>Narcos: Mexico<\/em>, Newman is an executive producer of Netflix\u2019s <em>The Watcher<\/em> and <em>True Story<\/em> as well as the upcoming <em>Painkiller<\/em> and <em>Griselda<\/em>. He\u2019s with CAA, Hansen Jacobson and Rowe PR.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Oppenheim became president of NBC News in 2017; prior to that, he was the executive in charge of <em>Today<\/em> at NBC. He has written screenplays for <em>Jackie, Allegiant<\/em> and <em>The Maze Runner<\/em> and was an executive producer of NBC\u2019s miniseries <em>The Thing About Pam<\/em>, which was based on a series of <em>Dateline<\/em> stories.
