a black employee to a managerial position so that the company can make a \u201ccontribution to diversity,\u201d according to a report.<\/p>\n<p>Roland Auschel, the head of sales at the Germany-based sports <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arel maker, reportedly made the remark during a meeting with 200 managers in 2019, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/7b852f73-e463-4458-809a-c1ba80607295\">the Financial Times reported.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was completely inappropriate,\u201d one employee who was at the meeting told FT.<\/p>\n<p>Auschel\u2019s comment spurred Adidas to launch a two-year  investigation that ended with the high-paid exec keeping his job, according to FT.<\/p>\n<p>The company told FT it hired \u201ca reputable law firm\u201d to probe allegations concerning \u201cpotential breaches of internal conduct guidelines\u201d as part of a \u201ccomprehensive and independent\u201d Auschel\u2019s conduct was not severe enough to warrant firing him under German labor laws.<\/p>\n<p>The Post has sought comment from Adidas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been no further indications of the investigation \u201crevealed a training need for the executive in question in the areas of communication and diversity, equity and inclusion.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Adidas said it communicated to Auschel its \u201cexpectation to comply with conduct guidelines\u201d and that this requirement was \u201cemphatically addressed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Auschel, who has been with Adidas for more than 30 years, \u201cunderwent several months of coaching in 2021,\u201d according to the company. He was not docked any part of his pay, FT reported.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Adidas reportedly extended Auschel\u2019s contract, which included a 26% tack-on to his bonus.
