Ron DeSantis by publicly condemning the law.<\/p>\n<p>Chapek\u2019s abrupt exit made it more likely that \u201csomething will get sorted out\u201d between Disney and Florida\u2019s Republican-controlled state government, according to state Rep. Randy Fine, who wrote the bill that revoked the company\u2019s special tax status last April.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s easier to shift policy when you don\u2019t have to defend the old policy,\u201d Fine told the Financial Times. \u201cChapek screwed up, but Bob Iger doesn\u2019t have to own that screw-up.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt seems like Disney and the legislature have motivation to make a deal.
