The city lies <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roximately 40 miles northwest of Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that there was a little bit of an argument between her and her step-mom last night but it isn\u2019t anything unusual,\u201d Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcdfw.com\/news\/local\/amber-alert-for-missing-7-year-old-girl-in-wise-county\/3138600\/\">told NBC 5.<\/a> \u201cThere was that argument, then step-mom went to fix dinner, came back to get Athena, and Athena wasn\u2019t in her room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The stepmother searched for Athena for about an hour before she reported the young girl missing, Akin said.<\/p>\n<p>Police theorize she left the home on her own but may have gotten lost. About 200 citizens joined various Texas departments to comb an estimated 50 acres in Paradise. The response was so overwhelming that the Wise County Office of Emergency Management department asked volunteers to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/wisecountyoem\/posts\/pfbid0FPCv2PK8v8z6cPXj81HiCya9Lv26b5ZKMd7WFNTUtnREoERU3Q6jH8d1njkpCARUl\">stop showing up to search parties.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The search continued through Friday. During the night searches, helicopters used thermal imaging to catch signs of Athena, Akin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not going to give up. family describes her as a kind and sweet little girl.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s a very loving, friendly kid, loves people, loves animals, loves flowers, she\u2019s a very girly girl,\u201d Kulbeth told NBC 5.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m scared and I\u2019m hoping that we find her \u2019cause I wouldn\u2019t want anyone to be in this right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Athena was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt with white flowers, blue jeans with white flowers on the pockets, and brown boots, Amber Alerts advise. She has pierced ears, but wasn\u2019t wearing earrings at the time of her disappearance.
