We don\u2019t know what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened because they don\u2019t talk to us at all about anything,\u201d one said.<\/p>\n<p>ADASA could not be reached for comment. The teachers are seeking to purchase their own phones and service.<\/p>\n<p>As The Post has reported, ADASA set up three rooming houses in the Bronx, requiring at least 19 teachers to each pay $1,300 to $1,450 a month for a single room, and share a kitchen and bathroom with others. Polanco\u2019s wife, Sterling B\u00e1ez, a DOE teacher, collected rent money from teachers in the co-op.<\/p>\n<p>After a Post report, B\u00e1ez told the teachers they could move, and offered to refer them to someone who could help them find a new place, they said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you, but we don\u2019t need your help. Rice for NY Post<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Polancos still have keys to the teachers\u2019 rooms and mailbox, which they cannot open themselves, they said.<\/p>\n<p>The DOE removed Polanco from MS 80 last month, and replaced him with an acting principal.<\/p>\n<p>The Special Commissioner of Investigation for city schools is still probing the rental arrangements, a spokesman confirmed Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Teachers were afraid to speak openly after being told not to say anything because of the ongoing probe.<\/p>\n<p>But they acknowledged being under a lot of stress: \u201cWe don\u2019t want the situation to impact on our jobs. We have to be strong and do a good job,\u201d one said.<\/p>\n<p>The DOE did not respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment. Chancellor David Banks has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ny1.com\/nyc\/all-boroughs\/education\/2022\/11\/15\/banks-comments-on-investigation-into-program-bringing-bilingual-teachers-to-nyc\">commented on NY1,<\/a> calling ADASA \u201can amazing group.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey came to me with this idea to help us with needing more bilingual teachers. That wasn\u2019t my idea, they actually came.
