I mean, we\u2019re a team,\u201d White told the magazine. \u201cThat\u2019s depressing. I don\u2019t even want to think about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Merv Griffin \u2014 entertainer, talk show host and game show impresario \u2014 hired the duo in 1982 and since then, they have become a staple in people\u2019s homes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think when Merv Griffin chose both of us, 40 and 41 years ago, he saw something between us \u2014 a brother-sister type relationship,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd I think that is kind of what it is. He saw that we would be able to get along, and we do. I can\u2019t think beyond that,\u201d she shared. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>The Post reached out to White for comment. <\/p>\n<p>White also expressed her puzzlement over whether or not the show will continue when she leaves. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t imagine. Everybody relates\u00a0\u2018Wheel of Fortune\u2019\u00a0to Pat and Vanna. We\u2019re like Ken and Barbie, you know,\u201d explained White. \u201cWe\u2019ve been in everybody\u2019s homes for 40 years, so it would be weird having somebody else turn my letters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 65-year-old, who insisted in an interview that she is \u201cno sex symbol,\u201d also gushed that she has loved every minute co-hosting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho still says they love their job after 40 years? Me! I really do. It\u2019s a fun show. Everybody watches and enjoys it and it changes people\u2019s lives and it makes people happy. So it\u2019s a great job.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The iconic game show was recently slammed for its \u201ccheap\u201d upgrade with several fans saying it looks \u201codd.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Sajak has also come under fire after asking a seemingly inappropriate question to White about \u201cwatching opera in the buff.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, fans seethed over screwups that included one contestant unable to solve a simple puzzle and another not figuring out a song title.
