\n Joe Biden said he\u2019s \u201cabsolutely\u201d open to serving two terms if elected president this November and urged President Trump to \u201cwatch me\u201d in response to the commander-in-chief\u2019s accusations that he\u2019s not mentally fit for the job.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatch me. Mr. President, watch me. Look at us both. Look at us both, what we say, what we do, what we control, what we know, what kind of shape we\u2019re in,\u201d the former vice president said in an interview on ABC News<\/a>, referring to his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s a legitimate question to ask anybody over 70 years old whether or not they\u2019re fit and whether they\u2019re ready. But I just, only thing I can say to the American people, it\u2019s a legitimate question to ask anybody. Watch me,\u201d Biden told anchor David Muir during a joint interview with Harris that was recorded Friday in Wilmington, Del.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you\u2019re leaving open the possibility you\u2019ll serve eight years if elected?\u201d Muir asked him in a snippet of the interview released Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbsolutely,\u201d Biden replied.<\/p>\n

The interview with the newly minted Democratic presidential ticket will air at 8 pm on \u201c20\/20.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden would be 78 years old on Inauguration day, making him the oldest president in US history.<\/p>\n

Trump, 74, has accused Biden of running his campaign out of the basement of his Wilmington home and claimed the former veep isn\u2019t up to the job.<\/p>\n

In an interview on \u201cFox & Friends\u201d last week, Trump said Biden is \u201cshot\u201d and would be at a disadvantage when representing the US with foreign leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re dealing with people that are very sharp. You\u2019re dealing with world-class chess players in the leaders of these countries. I know them all. We do very well with all of them, [President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan of Turkey. You can\u2019t have a guy that doesn\u2019t know where he is. You can\u2019t have a guy that\u2019s afraid to leave his basement because he can\u2019t speak any longer,\u201d Trump said in the interview.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
