New Year\u2019s Eve will be our last night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said that although business has rebounded strongly since the pandemic, the venue\u2019s\u00a010-year lease at 750 Seventh Avenue was due for a rent \u201creset\u201d at the end of the year and\u00a0 \u201cMy landlord felt they can get a lot more for the space.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The tower, between West 49th and 50th streets, is owned by a Kuwaiti wealth fund doing business as FosterLane Management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew Year\u2019s Eve will be our last night,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Hirsch broke the closing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> to stunned staff Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is heart-stabbing for me,\u201d she told The Post.\u00a0\u201cI love my staff. I love my co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>ns. But it quickly caught on with locals as well as tourists. Its ever-changing talent roster included Richard Belzer, Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal, Jon Stewart, Joy Behar, Jimmy Fallon, Michael Che, Robin Williams, Conan O\u2019Brien.\u00a0Larry David performed \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d sketches that never made the air. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The place had an \u201canything-can-h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en\u201d atmosphere that was part of its charm. \u201cIt\u2019s the hardest place to do comedy,\u201d Hirsch recently told Variety. \u201cYou never know who is sitting in the audience; you have to bring your A\u00ad-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finding a new tenant for the mostly underground, 300-seat space might not be easy.\u00a0 Zoning rules require 750 Seventh Ave., like several other towers in the area, to devote 5% of its \u00a0floor space to entertainment uses \u2014 a rule enacted in the 1980s when the city was struggling to protect Times Square\u2019s show-business character.<\/p>\n<p>A new tenant would also have to cope with a menacing sidewalk and pedestrian-plaza scene\u00a0on the east side of the avenue, where junk merchants abound and hustlers aggressively hawk old CD\u2019s to tourists.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives for FosterLane could not be reached.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
