“#Miscreants invade New Jersey farm to ride animals<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n A pack of young punks trespassed on a New Jersey farm late Saturday, riding and abusing animals in\u00a0an ordeal that left the creatures \u201cshaken and skittish,\u201d according to a Facebook<\/a> post from the farm and a report.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sheer disrespect that some people have is truly infuriating,\u201d Jimmy Abma, of Abma\u2019s Farm in Wyckoff, NJ, told the Daily Voice of the 10 p.m. incident. \u201cThere are teenage pranks, and then there\u2019s something like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Sunday Facebook post from the farm\u2019s owners explained that the culprits weren\u2019t just endangering the animals.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, we are a working farm, and four families (and four generations) live here. This is our home,\u201d the post read. \u201cSecond, from a human safety standpoint, breaking in to animal pens with no animal training is dangerous. Animals can kick, rear up, and trample you. In the dark, anything can happ<\/a>en.<\/p>\n

\u201cThird, the safety of OUR animals has been compromised and that IS. NOT. OKAY.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post noted that the miscreants rode the farm\u2019s miniature donkeys, who are not meant to support that much weight.<\/p>\n

One of the creeps made a Snapchat post of another riding a donkey, tagging it with a filter unique to the farm.<\/p>\n

Someone who saw the post alerted the farm\u2019s owners, who rushed outside to catch the delinquents red-handed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a concerned party alerted us to the snapchat, we caught two other trespassers stealing \u2013 when we called the police, the two fled the scene,\u201d the Facebook message read.<\/p>\n

Though the group got away, Abma said that he knows exactly who\u2019s responsible.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately for them we have pictures and names and we will follow through to make sure everyone is held accountable,\u201d he told the Daily Voice, which ran a photo of a blonde girl wearing a navel ring, a dark top, ripped jeans and black sneakers riding a miniature donkey named Daisy.<\/p>\n

A boy is also visible in the background.<\/p>\n

As the family cleaned up, the extent of the damage became apparent.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur animals are very shaken and skittish compared to their normal calm and relaxed nature, and our mini horse has signs of physical abuse,\u201d Abma told the Daily Voice.<\/p>\n

He also noted that a duckling and a rabbit were missing, but the later Facebook post said all animals had been accounted for.<\/p>\n

The farm will be closed on Monday while a veterinarian evaluates the animals.<\/p>\n
