\n John Oliver dumped on the wrong Connecticut town.<\/p>\n

The British comedian took the piss out of Danbury on his HBO show last week \u2014 so officials are naming the local sewage plant after him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are going to rename it the John Oliver Memorial Sewer Plant,\u201d Mayor Mark Boughton said Saturday in a Facebook video.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy? Because it\u2019s full of crap just like you, John.\u201d<\/p>\n

The move comes after the Aug. 16 episode of \u201cLast Week Tonight with John Oliver\u201d in which the host explored the racial disparities in the jury selection process, citing problems in a few Connecticut towns.<\/p>\n

He then randomly brought up Danbury, saying: \u201cIf you are going to forget a town in Connecticut, why not forget Danbury because \u2014 and this is true \u2014 f\u2013k Danbury.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oliver then noted the town\u2019s \u201ccharming railway museum\u201d and its \u201chistoric Hearthstone Castle\u201d \u2014 before raising a stink.<\/p>\n

\u201cDanbury Connecticut can eat my whole a\u2014,\u201d Oliver said.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI know exactly three things about Danbury, USA Today ranked it the second-best city to live in in 2015, it was once the center of the American hat industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd if you\u2019re from there, you have a standing invite to come get a thrashing from John Oliver \u2014 children included \u2014 f\u2013k you.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what prompted Oliver to go off on Danbury.<\/p>\n

The host also ripped Boughton and other American mayors in 2017 over videos they made trying to draw Amazon to their towns.<\/p>\n

In his new video, Boughton tried to wipe the smile off Oliver\u2019s face, saying: \u201cAnd, oh by the way\u2026 We did get Amazon here in Danbury.\u201d<\/p>\n
