The Oscar-winning actress issued the alleged correction Thursday while speaking with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/jennifer-lawrence-female-led-action-films-1235278203\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was my blunder and it came out wrong,\u201d Lawrence, 32, admitted in the interview regarding her alleged slip of the tongue.<\/p>\n<p>The controversy was initially sparked a day earlier after \u201cAmerican Hustle\u201d star declared herself the first ever female action lead during an interview for\u00a0Variety\u2019s \u201cActors on Actors\u201d\u00a0series with Viola Davis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember when I was doing \u2018Hunger <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>s,\u2019 nobody had ever put a woman in the lead of an action movie because it wouldn\u2019t work \u2014 because we were told girls and boys can both identify with a male lead, but boys cannot identify with a female lead,\u201d Lawrence claimed while describing her role as Katniss Everdeen in the 2012 film adaptation based on the popular book series.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/Jennifer-Lawrence-29.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in &quot;The Hunger Games&quot;
