In this case, they\u2019re both pretty bad. The latest release of internal <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> files shows that users who opposed COVID lockdowns, made fun of liberal TikTok videos, or just h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened to be conservative were secretly restricted. They weren\u2019t allowed to trend, and their tweets would barely be seen by others.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter officials swore up and down, for years, that such \u201cshadow banning\u201d did not occur. \u201cPeople are asking us if we shadow ban. We don\u2019t,\u201d Twitter\u2019s official account posted in July 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the real question behind the question is, are we doing something according to political ideology or viewpoints? We are not. Period,\u201d Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said in an interview a month later. \u201cWe do not look at content with regards to political viewpoint or ideology. He was tweeting that COVID lockdowns could be harmful to children. Journalist Bari Weiss revealed Thursday night that, without telling him or anyone else, Twitter labeled Bhattacharya\u2019s account \u201ctrends backlist\u201d to make sure he wouldn\u2019t show up on the top-read list no matter how many people agreed with him.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Dr. Bhattacharya was absolutely right \u2014 closed schools set back an entire generation of children in both education and social skills. Something tells us they\u2019d be singing a different tune if, say, Rachel Maddow was shadow banned, but setting that aside \u2014 Twitter lied. Their executives may even have perjured themselves. They kept claiming this \u201cdidn\u2019t happen,\u201d and it\u2019s only because Elon Musk spent billions that we know it absolutely did.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201ccrisis of disinformation\u201d you go on and on about, wondering why people don\u2019t trust the \u201cexperts\u201d anymore? This is why.
