told police he was in his fifth-period class Thursday and walked to the garbage to throw out an item when class sub Vernon Jerom, 77, suddenly put his hands around the kid\u2019s throat and held on for about 5 seconds, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The boy did not report any injuries and was not hospitalized.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" manner injurious to a child, police said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese allegations are very disturbing, and this substitute teacher was im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely pulled from service,\u201d city Department of Education spokesman Nathaniel Styer said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The school is located in the confines of the 109th Precinct, which covers northeast Queens,
