\n No dancing at bars. No darts. No karaoke. So orders Gov. Andrew Cuomo, adding to his \u201corder food, not just alcohol\u201d mandate in what\u00a0sure looks like an all-out war on fun.<\/p>\n

Heck, the Great Drinktator has also banned comedy shows. You can\u2019t have people guffawing into their face masks despite practicing social<\/a>-distancing.<\/p>\n

The gov has even used his emergency powers to ban\u00a0dancing at wedding receptions. This, when New York hasn\u2019t just flattened the curve, but crushed it \u2014 with new coronavirus cases and deaths at ever-lower levels.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0Karol Markowicz writes in Monday\u2019s Post,\u00a0these lockdown rules are \u201cnutty.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eminently progressive state Sen. Jessica Ramos (D-Queens) reports\u00a0that Cuomo\u2019s State Liquor Authority agents have been harassing bar and restaurant owners in her district with summonses and the loss of liquor licenses under the gov\u2019s \u201cThree Strikes and You\u2019re Closed\u201d policy.<\/p>\n

Cuomo\u2019s rules are almost as deadly to businesses as the bug he says he\u2019s fighting.<\/p>\n

Andrew Rigie, head of the NYC Hospitality Alliance, says an industry survey found that 83 percent of dining establishments couldn\u2019t pay their full rent last month.<\/p>\n

Mayor Bill de Blasio, meanwhile, told WNYC he has \u201cno plan\u201d for the return of indoor dining in the city, since the bug resurged somewhat in\u00a0Hong Kong and Europe after indoor dining resumed.<\/p>\n

Is it any wonder that 100 restaurants in Brooklyn and Staten Island\u00a0plan a class-action lawsuit to force the mayor and the gov to let their eateries reopen?<\/p>\n

Give it a shot: Businesses will work to ensure that patrons practice safe dining and obey health protocols. If the curve bends too far up, you can always lock down again.<\/p>\n
