Azizi, who police said has no prior arrests, posted the lower bail within hours.<\/p>\n<p>Adams, who has made lobbying Albany pols to toughen bail laws a key part of his first year in office, also brought up other examples of accused criminals being let out on the street too fast \u2013 including one of two men charged with plotting to attack\u00a0New York City synagogues last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI say this over and over again: when are we going to pass laws that protect the innocent people of this city?\u201d Adams said. \u201cWe have to stop passing laws that protect the guilty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Azizi\u2019s lawyer, Jason Goldman, said the mayor\u2019s \u201ccategorical and blanket <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach\u201d to bail laws \u201cis exactly\u201d why the Rikers Island jail complex is an \u201covercrowded hellhole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAzizi isn\u2019t some fish with 30 catch, release, and repeats,\u201d said Goldman. \u201cHe\u2019s a human who, prior to this very first arrest for which he is presumed innocent, has never once crossed paths with the criminal justice system.
