And Carter Hurd\u2019s new <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.carterhurd.com\/computers\">Raspberry Pi Mini PC<\/a> ticks all the boxes\u2014it has a working keyboard, display, and I\/O, but it\u2019s only slightly larger than a can of soda.<\/p>\n<p>Oddly enough, Hurd kicked off this project by gutting a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/divoom.com\/collections\/all-product\/products\/divoom-ditooplus\">Ditoo Pixel Art Bluetooth Speaker<\/a>. It\u2019s a boutique speaker that mimics the style of a retro PC (and displays custom pixel art), so it serves as a nice chassis for a Raspberry Pi. Well, not without some modifications, of course.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"eXfPlOa2Z5c\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/eXfPlOa2Z5c\/hqdefault.jpg');\"><button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>In his video, Hurd spends a lot of time trimming down circuit boards, breaking glass, and attempting to modify a Raspberry Pi. Interestingly, he slips a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tindie.com\/products\/arturo182\/bb-q20-keyboard-with-trackpad-usbi2cpmod\/\">BlackBerry keyboard<\/a> in the bottom of the chassis, and adds a tilting hinge to the \u201cmonitor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The results of this project are pretty impressive. While the mini desktop isn\u2019t very practical, it\u2019s fully-functional and looks great. It reminds me of the\u00a0retro Mac calendar we saw earlier this year\u2014hey, I wonder if you could turn this mini desktop into some kind of calendar?<\/p>\n<p>Check out Carter Hurd\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eXfPlOa2Z5c\">YouTube video<\/a> for more information on the Raspberry Pi mini desktop PC.
