Ro Khanna backs The Post, says Twitter &#8216;wrong to censor newspapers'&#8221;<\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>The House Democrat who wrote to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> about his concerns the\u00a0company was suppressing free speech after it blocked The Post\u2019s blockbuster reporting on Hunter Biden said Sunday he\u2019s open to holding hearings in Congress about press freedom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is wrong to censor <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>papers. It is wrong to censor journalists,\u201d Rep. Ro Khanna of California said on Fox News\u2019 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/video.foxnews.com\/v\/6317020982112\">\u201cSunday Morning Futures.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe New York Post hasn\u2019t written a kind thing about me in my six years in Congress. They\u2019re a conservative-point-of-view paper,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut that doesn\u2019t mean that you can stop publishing their pieces or articles or censor their journalists from sharing stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Twitter\u2019s suppression of The Post\u2019s October 2020 expose on President Biden\u2019s son \u201cjust offended the basic principles that our country is based on,\u201d Khanna told host Maria Bartiromo.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"511\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/ro-khanna-221211-10.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Rep. On the one hand, we don\u2019t want censorship. Ro Khanna\u2019s message to Twitter about blocking The Post\u2019s Hunter Biden story.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cGenerating huge backlash on the hill re free speech,\u201d Khanna said in an email to Gadde.<\/p>\n<p>Gadde, who has since been sacked by Musk, replied with an explanation of Twitter\u2019s \u201chacked material\u201d policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA journalist should not be held accountable for the illegal actions of the source unless they actively aided the hack.
