\n President Trump\u2019s longtime adviser Kellyanne Conway is stepping down from her role at the end of month.<\/p>\n

Conway, whose daughter, Claudia, has sparked national attention this summer over her anti-Trump tweets, said she and her husband are taking time off to tend to their four children.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe disagree about plenty,\u201d Kellyanne said in a statement, referring to\u00a0her husband, George Conway, the co-founder of the Lincoln Project, a Republican anti-Trump group.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we are united on what matters most: the kids,\u201d Kellyanne said in her statement.<\/p>\n

Kellyanne, who helped guide Trump to victory in 2016 as his third campaign manager, told the president of her decision Sunday night in the Oval Office, the Washington Post reported.<\/p>\n

Before her departure, Kellyanne is slated to speak Wednesday at the 2020 Republican National Convention.<\/p>\n

In her statement, Kellyanne said the decision to step down was hers and noted that all four of her children \u2014 both middle and high schoolers \u2014 will be learning remotely for at least the first few months of the upcoming academic year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs millions of parents nationwide know, kids \u2018doing school from home\u2019 requires a level of attention and vigilance that is as unusual as these times,\u201d Kellyanne said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

The \u201cdrama\u201d may have been in reference to Claudia, who has repeatedly used Twitter<\/a> to voice her frustration over her mother\u2019s work for Trump.<\/p>\n

George separately announced Sunday that he is leaving the Lincoln Project and \u201ctaking a Twitter hiatus.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNeedless to say, I continue to support the Lincoln Project and its mission. Passionately,\u201d he tweeted.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
