\n Three people were shot, one fatally, inside a Kentucky mall on Sunday, police said.<\/p>\n

The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. outside of a store in the Fayette Mall in Lexington, cops said.<\/p>\n

Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said the shooting did not app<\/a>ear to be random.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt appears from the information that we\u2019ve gathered thus far that the persons involved knew each other,\u201d Weathers told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know at least the intended target may have known the suspect.\u201d<\/p>\n

The condition of the other two victims was not immedia<\/a>tely known.<\/p>\n

People inside the mall described the chaos that ensued after gunshots rang out.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just heard multiple gunshots,\u201d Alicia Spurlock, who was at the mall with her daughter, told the Lexington Herald-Leader.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt took me a minute to register what that was. Everybody just started running,\u201d the mother said.<\/p>\n

Destini Engle, a worker at Ann Taylor inside the mall, recalled seeing a group of people run towards her store while screaming.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart just sunk, I knew what was going on,\u201d Engle told the news<\/a>paper.<\/p>\n
