The SEC has authorized separate charges relating to his violations of securities laws, to be filed publicly tomorrow in SDNY.  <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ON0LgY4mf4\">https:\/\/t.co\/ON0LgY4mf4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (@SECGov) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SECGov\/status\/1602481228606832640?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 13, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>Grewal said the charges will be filed publicly \u201ctomorrow\u201d on Dec. 14 at the Southern District of New York (SDNY).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>FTX was an &#8216;utter failure of corporate controls at every level of an organization&#8217;, says new CEO<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SEC\u2019s announcement comes only hours after <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> broke of Sam Bankman-Fried\u2019s arrest in The Bahamas on Dec. 12.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement from Senator Ryan Pinder, the Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> of the Bahamas, Pinder said the arrest followed receipt of formal notification from the United States that it has filed criminal charges against SBF and is likely to request his extradition.<\/p>\n<p>Specific details on the charges have not yet been confirmed, though it is <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/12\/12\/business\/ftx-sam-bankman-fried-bahamas.html\">understood<\/a> to be in relation to wire and securities fraud, conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud and money laundering.<\/p>\n<p>In his latest statement, Grewal commended its SEC\u2019s \u201claw enforcement partners\u201d for securing the arrest of Bankman-Fried on federal criminal charges.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
