Ron DeSantis said Tuesday that he would ask the Sunshine State\u2019s Supreme Court to convene a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Vaccine-Grand-Jury-Petition.pdf\">grand jury<\/a> to investigate \u201cany and all wrongdoing\u201d \u200binvolving the use of COVID-19 vaccines.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u200bIn Florida, it is illegal to mislead and misrepresent, especially when you are talking about the efficacy of a drug\u200b,\u201d the newly reelected governor said during a roundtable with state Surgeon <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Joseph Ladapo and a number of scientists and physicians.\u00a0\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<p>The discussion had touched on pharmaceutical companies not making their vaccine data available to independent researchers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll be able to get the data whether they want to give it or not\u200b,\u201d added DeSantis, who\u2019s widely expected to seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The governor also noted that the Sunshine State \u201cgot $3.2 billion through legal action against those responsible for the opioid crisis. Questions have been raised regarding the veracity of the representations made by the pharmaceutical manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccines, particularly with respect to transmission, prevention, efficacy, and safety\u200b,\u201d DeSantis said in the petition.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u201d\u200bAn investigation is warranted to determine whether the pharmaceutical industry has engaged\u00a0\u200bin fraudulent practices. The people of Florida deserve to know the truth\u200b,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.jhu.edu\/region\/us\/florida\">Johns Hopkins University<\/a> coronavirus resource center, 83,201 people died of coronavirus in Florida out of 7,270,410 cases. More than 70% of the state\u2019s population was fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>By comparison, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.jhu.edu\/region\/us\/new%20york\">New York, <\/a>which has a slightly smaller population, recorded 74,327 deaths and 6,458,663 cases. Nearly 80% of the state population has been fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis said he expects to get <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roval for the grand jury that will be empaneled in the Tampa Bay area.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat will come with legal processes that will be able to get more information,\u201d he said, \u201cand to bring legal accountability to those who committed misconduct.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
