He definitely put me to work. I had to do it about five or six times until he found the right frequency,\u201d Soul revealed before the interviewer questioned if the issues were lyric-related.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, not rewriting. He liked the verse, but I had to match the frequency of the record, because I guess that was one of his favorite beats. So he wanted to make sure I came correct. That was the first time anybody ever made me re-record. So that was humbling. But it\u2019s Preemo.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Ab-Soul called the collab a \u201cdream come true\u201d and recounted a time he connected with Premier while working on a Royce Da 5\u20199\u2033 record at Mac Miller\u2019s house.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Gotta Rap\u2019 was a dream come true. Before I even had my official stage name, when I was just Snap G, I knew I always wanted a Preemo beat,\u201d he added. \u201cPreemo keeps his ear to the streets. I can honestly say I do get the respect of being the last of the lyricists, that cloth. I\u2019ve met him in passing before, but we connected when he did <span class=\"clay-annotated kiln-phrase\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-describedby=\"annotation-1\">PRhyme.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI was at my brother Mac Miller\u2019s crib. We was working on some other stuff, and Royce sent me the record. I was like, \u2018Yo, Mac is over here, too.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018What? Oh yeah, y\u2019all go crazy.\u2019 And we did that off of the love, so Preemo hit me im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely like, \u2018Yo, you went fucking crazy. You know I got you. I owe you one.\u2019 I said, \u2018Okay, yeah. I\u2019m going to hold you to that.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Herbert<\/em> serves as Ab-Soul\u2019s first album since 2016\u2019s <em>Do What Thou Wilt.<\/em> and features assists from Big Sean, Russ, Joey Bada$$, Jhen\u00e9 Aiko, SiR, Punch, Zacari, Fre$h, Ambr\u00e9, ALEMEDA and Lance Skiiiwalker.<\/p>\n<p>On the production side of things, outside of Preemo, the TDE rapper\u2019s forthcoming album features beats from Sounwave, James Blake, Hit-Boy, Boi-1da and DJ Dahi.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Ab-Soul paid a visit to the\u00a0<em>L.A.
