\n The BBC aired a photo of the wrong George Floyd during coverage of his funeral this week in Houston, Texas \u2014 mistakenly showing a living ex-New York Jets player, a report said.<\/p>\n

The news<\/a> outlet broadcast a photo of former Gang Green defensive back George Floyd, instead of the 46-year-old Minneapolis man whose death in police custody has sparked international protests, the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeorge Floyd was remembered as a champion basketball and football player,\u201d the broadcaster correctly reported Monday before airing the image of the ex-Jets player in uniform.<\/p>\n

The 59-year-old retired athlete played for two seasons for the Jets in 1982 and 1984, according to the National Football League.<\/p>\n

The mix-up came as hundreds of mourners, including Floyd\u2019s family, packed into the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston, wearing all white for the hours-long celebration of life.<\/p>\n

The BBC didn\u2019t immedia<\/a>tely respond to request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
