a tough time selling his 20-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion in Maine. <\/p>\n<p>The star first listed the home in February 2021 \u2014 seven months following the death of his wife Kelly Preston. <\/p>\n<p>Located in Isleboro, Travolta has kept the initial $5 million price tag, despite a brief moment off the market. <\/p>\n<p>Travolta, 68, designed the home with Preston back in 1991, when they were just newlyweds. <\/p>\n<p>His late \u201cLook Who\u2019s Talking\u201d co-star and fellow Scientologist Kirstie Alley was the one who first showed them the property at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Spanning 10,830 square feet, the whimsical estate was\u00a0transformed from the \u201cspooky,\u201d \u201cdark\u201d and \u201csomber\u201d historic house into the ultimate holiday space, a place to host their 55-member family, the couple told\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.architecturaldigest.com\/story\/john-travolta-and-kelly-preston-maine-house\">Architectural Digest<\/a>\u00a0in 1999.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cGrease\u201d star called it the \u201c60-day marathon\u201d of redecorating \u2014 from the moment they purchased the home that September\u00a0so
