According to Shamus, Wizard was an outlet where he could \u201ccreate a voice\u201d and share with his friends the things he had discovered that excited him. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-12\/cdd905a4-a5a3-42a6-b49a-a5245bff8873.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Shamus touched on the importance of building elements of engagement and not limiting creativity within communities to further \u201cunite them around what they love.\u201d More importantly, he explained how building engagement allowed him to reach billions of people around the world in a way that made it \u201cfun to be a fan of culture.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>According to him, there\u2019s a natural synergy between comics and NFTs.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CWe_need_to_promote_storytelling%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\u201cWe need to promote storytelling\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When asked about the role storytelling will play in the Kumite NFT project, Shamus explained that Web3 allows for greater participation and engagement whereby multiple stories, from multiple points of view, can be told and expressed. Shamus described\u00a0Kumite NFT as bringing the hero\u2019s journey to holders, and in this way, \u201ceveryone can be a hero in their journey.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Regarding sustainability, Shamus said it was essential for Kumite to develop a \u201cgaming mechanic\u201d from day one \u2014 one that enables holders to not only participate but recognize that the story is not linear, as the community can participate and have a say as to how the story will progress. <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pondering_future_trends_for_Web3\"><\/span>Pondering future trends for Web3<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When asked about future trends for NFTs, community and Web3, Shamus went out on a limb and suggested that there certainly has to be a semblance of a \u201cmorality guideline,\u201d but the ultimate goal in exploring these uncharted territories of Web3 is to allow people to \u201cexplore their creativity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shamus believes it would be a \u201cmistake\u201d to assume the team behind Kumite will take full control of the project\u2019s lore. Instead, holders can create and develop the story of their respective characters, as according to Shamus, the fans can very well \u201ccreate better stories\u201d than the team can. <\/p>\n<p>Placing restraints on creativity is the way \u201cit\u2019s always been,\u201d said Shamus and Web3, and NFTs have unlocked the means to tap into \u201cglobal creativity,\u201d especially when it comes to storytelling.
