\n A New Jersey corrections officer was among those in a \u201chateful\u201d group of white men who mocked the knee-on-the-neck police-custody death of George Floyd as protesters marched past, according to officials.<\/p>\n

Viral video shows a man pretending to kneel on the neck of another lying prone on the ground as they shout at Black Lives Matter protesters marching through Franklin Township, NJ, on Monday.<\/p>\n

Others stood next to them in the yard of the property adorned with a\u00a0\u201cthin blue line\u201d flag \u2014 showing support for law enforcement \u2014 as well as a large \u201cAll Lives Matter\u201d sign.<\/p>\n

At least one yelled, \u201cIf you don\u2019t comply, this is what happ<\/a>ens,\u201d further mocking the death of Floyd, 46, who was pinned by a cop with a knee on his neck for almost nine minutes as he sobbed, \u201cI can\u2019t breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt automatically brought me to tears,\u201d march organizer Daryan Fennal told NBC10 of the group\u2019s sick stunt, saying it proved \u201cracism is real, racism is alive, [and] it\u2019s right next door to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy called the incident \u201crepugnant,\u201d and wrote on Twitter<\/a>, \u201cI condemn this behavior in the strongest terms possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police Chief Brian Zimmer and Mayor John Bruno said in a joint statement that they were \u201cappalled and saddened by the revolting actions,\u201d adding, \u201cThis is not who we are as a Community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The New Jersey Department of Corrections confirmed Tuesday that one of its officers was involved in the \u201chateful and disappointing video that mocked the killing of George Floyd.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe individual has been suspended from their post and banned from NJDOC facilities pending a thorough and expedited investigation,\u201d the statement said. It did not identify him or say which member of the group he was.<\/p>\n

An officer since 2002, he worked at the Albert C. Wagner Youth Correctional Facility in Bordentown before his current job at Bayside Correctional Facility in Maurice River Township, the Courier Post revealed.<\/p>\n

An officer named Joseph DiMarco matched the dates, the paper said \u2014 the same surname as a FedEx employee who was fired for the stunt, sources told\u00a0TMZ.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do not tolerate the kind of appalling and offensive behavior depicted in this video. The individual involved is no longer employed by FedEx,\u201d the firm said on Twitter, without confirming the employee\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe stand with those who support justice and equality.\u201d<\/p>\n

NBC10 said it called multiple phone numbers listed for the property without response.<\/p>\n

Three teens were previously arrested in the UK for a possible hate crime for mocking Floyd\u2019s death in a similar fashion, while social media companies have cracked down on similar posts.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
