I wanted to break my own record, which was already six minutes and 14 seconds. And I was like, \u2018Come on!\u2019 So I smashed my own record by a minute.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cameron had wanted to limit the \u201cdry for wet\u201d ocean scenes and make the water sequences feel real and authentic \u2014 which meant having the actors act underwater.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018It\u2019s not going to work. It\u2019s not going to look real,\u2019\u201d the 68-year-old filmmaker explained. \u201cI even let them run a test, where we captured dry for wet, and then we captured in water, a crude level of our in-water capture. And it wasn\u2019t even close.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Winslet portrays Ronal, leader of the Metkayina \u2014 a lesser-known clan of the Na\u2019vi tribe \u2014 in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 blockbuster.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming installment picks up a decade from where the original left off, with the story of the Sully family as they fight for their home on the lush alien planet of Pandora.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAvatar: The Way of Water\u201d premiers in theaters nationwide on Dec. 18.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
