Witnesses have said Amini was beaten by Guidance Patrol, but the Iranian government has said she suffered a heart attack.<\/p>\n<p>The International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPRO) said they were \u201cshocked and sickened\u201d by the punishment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFIFPRO is shocked and sickened by reports that professional footballer Amir Nasr-Azadani faces execution in Iran after campaigning for women\u2019s rights and basic freedom in his country,\u201d the union tweeted on Monday.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">FIFPRO is shocked and sickened by reports that professional footballer Amir Nasr-Azadani faces execution in Iran after campaigning for women\u2019s rights and basic freedom in his country.<\/p>\n<p>We stand in solidarity with Amir and call for the im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te removal of his punishment. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vPuylCS2ph\">pic.twitter.com\/vPuylCS2ph<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 FIFPRO (@FIFPRO) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FIFPRO\/status\/1602410644409618461?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 12, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe stand in solidarity with Amir and call for the immediate removal of his punishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nasr-Azadani will be the 28th person sentenced to death amid the protests \u2014 Iran conducted its first execution in relation to the protests on Thursday.
