The bankruptcy followed a sudden liquidity crunch that ensued as investors scrambled to pull their money out of the sinking platform. That same day, Bankman-Fried resigned as CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Bankman-Fried, 30, was arrested at his home in the Bahamas on Monday and slapped with eight federal charges, including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, securities fraud, money laundering and violations of campaign finance laws.
