\n Renee Young is officially no more.<\/p>\n

Renee Paquette, who took on the stage name Renee Young upon joining WWE nearly eight years ago, made her final app<\/a>earance for the wrestling giant Sunday night on the SummerSlam kickoff show. Reports first surfaced last week that Paquette, 34, was departing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to give a big thank you to the WWE and the WWE universe. You guys have all truly changed my life, so thank you very much,\u201d Paquette said at the end of the kickoff show, signing off for the final time.<\/p>\n

The popular Paquette was a host, interviewer and was part of the \u201cRaw\u201d commentary team during her WWE career as Renee Young, the first woman in WWE to do full-time commentary. The Toronto native previously worked for SportsNet 360 in Canada.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s naturally been speculation that Paquette could work for WWE rival AEW, where Paquette\u2019s husband Jon Moxley, real name Jonathan Good, is the current AEW champion. Paquette has been sharing pictures with her 2.7 million Instagram followers of photoshoots she\u2019s been doing for her upcoming cookbook. She was also the host of \u201cWWE Backstage\u201d on Fox Sports, where she says she\u2019ll still be making appearances.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made friends, family- literally family- I met my husband here (what a f\u2013king dreamboat) and people that will be a part of my life forever,\u201d Paquette wrote Monday morning in an Instagram farewell. \u201cI\u2019ve been so lucky. But it\u2019s also been a lot of my hard work, drive and passion that\u2019s landed me in these amazing spots. I\u2019ve had such an incredible run with WWE. It\u2019s changed my life. But that all leads me to now. What\u2019s next? Do I stay satisfied with what I\u2019ve done? Or do I go in pursuit of new barriers and goals in mind? I always choose the latter.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no idea what that means or looks like, but it\u2019s time for me to go. Time to roll the dice again and shake things up. Time to light that fire again and forge on. Time to say bye to Renee Young and reconnect with Renee Paquette and remember why I started this journey to begin with. And as the ride slows down- as the world slows down, I see it as my opportunity to make a move. So I just wanted to say thanks to WWE and to the all the fans that have been so damn cool to me over the years. And send a crap ton of love to all of my people. I\u2019m excited for the future! Thanks for everything \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
