She has every reason to rethink policy left over from the de Blasio era when progressives judged every cop guilty.<\/p>\n<p>As The Post\u2019s Craig McCarthy reported this week, the commish in an internal memo announced that in at least 72 cases she\u2019d reduced or dismissed penalties recommended by department \u201cjudges\u201d or (more often) by the Civilian Complaint Review Board.<\/p>\n<p>More, she intends to \u201camend\u201d the \u201cdisciplinary matrix\u201d she inherited, including the current up to 10 days of discipline for failing to hand out a business card.<\/p>\n<p>What is she <em>supposed<\/em> to do when she determines some recommended punishments are \u201cmanifestly unfair to the officers under review,\u201d as her memo notes, for example when \u201cbad intent to officers was imputed when none was present\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>Especially when the CCRB is widely seen as <em>institutionally<\/em> over-influenced by cop-hating imposed.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, she made it clear she has no intention of whitewashing anything: \u201cMembers of the service who engage in misconduct make all of your jobs much more difficult,\u201d she noted. \u201cMake no mistake, I will not hesitate to take <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate disciplinary action against those who engage in misconduct of any nature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s her job to hold cops to account \u2014 and <em>also<\/em> to stand up for those who\u2019d otherwise be treated unfairly.
