She was first detained back in February and has spent all that time behind bars. Finally, after months of trying to get her back to the US, President <strong>Joe Biden<\/strong>\u2018s office finally secured a prisoner exchange last week and she was reunited with her friends and family. In an emotional <strong>Instagram<\/strong> post on Friday, the <strong>Phoenix Mercury<\/strong> center broke her silence on her return home from Russia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Quinton Simon Was Beaten To Death \u2018With An Object\u2019 Causing \u2018Excessive Pain\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>The 32-year-old opened about the swap and thanked the many people involved in getting her home safely. She wrote alongside photos of her reunion with her wife <strong>Cherelle Griner<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-639cbfac6c365-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt feels so good to be home! The last 10 months have been a battle at every turn. I dug deep to keep my faith and it was the love from so many of you that helped keep me going. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone for your help.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She then took a moment to acknowledge those in power who advocated for her return, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI am grateful to each person who advocated for me, especially my wife, Cherelle Griner, my family, <strong>Lindsay Kagawa<\/strong> <strong>Colas<\/strong> and <strong>Casey Wasserman<\/strong> and my whole team at Wasserman, <strong>Vince Kozar<\/strong> and the Phoenix Mercury, the players of the WNBA, and my entire WNBA family, <strong>Terri Jackson<\/strong> and the <strong>WNBPA<\/strong> staff, my Russian legal team <strong>Maria Blagovolina<\/strong> and<strong> Alex Boykov<\/strong>, the leaders, activists, and grassroots organizations, Gov. I will use my platform to do whatever I can to help you. I also encourage everyone that played a part in bringing me home to continue their efforts to bring all Americans home. Every family deserves to be whole.<\/p>\n<p>As I transition home to enjoy the holidays with my family, I want to acknowledge and thank the entire PISA staff and medical team at the San Antonio Fort Sam Houston Base.
