The justice system provides the presumption of innocence unless proven otherwise,\u201d said the TV celebrity, who has the nickname \u201cMr. Wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CNBC\u2019s Andrew Ross Sorkin asked O\u2019Leary point-blank if he viewed FTX as a fraud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKevin, you are an actor in this drama, and you had a front-row seat to Bankman-Fried up until the very end,\u201d Sorkin said. \u201cWhat do you think happened? He also held an equity stake valued at more than $1 million. They have faced intense criticism for hawking FTX to the public prior to its downfall.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;The shareholders, of which I&#8217;m included, I don&#8217;t think we should get anything back. Despite his public remarks, O\u2019Leary claimed that he began investing in cryptocurrency before he became a spokesperson for FTX in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>But Sorkin noted that In 2019, O\u2019Leary had referred to bitcoin as \u201cgarbage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen I\u2019m wrong about that,\u201d O\u2019Leary said. \u201cThe point is, it was long before I became a paid spokesperson. Long before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked about ongoing efforts to reimburse those impacted by FTX\u2019s bankruptcy, O\u2019Leary said the platform\u2019s customers should be made whole before any investors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe shareholders, of which I\u2019m included, I don\u2019t think we should get anything back.
