workers at the one of the country\u2019s biggest coffee chains.<\/p>\n<p> The strike, which began on Friday and is scheduled to continue through Sunday, involves over 1,000 Starbucks employees and is the second major strike by workers at the coffee chain in the past month. But the company said last month that it respects employees\u2019 lawful right to protest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe respect our partners\u2019 right to organize,\u201d Starbucks spokesperson Reggie Borges told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mic.com\/impact\/starbucks-union-minneapolis-santa-cruz\" class=\"icon none\">Mic<\/a> earlier this year about the unionization push. \u201cWe don\u2019t believe a union is necessary, but we understand their point of view.
