\n Highlights from Monday\u2019s Giants practice:<\/p>\n

Good<\/strong><\/p>\n

Blake Martinez continually draws the unenviable task of covering Saquon Barkley in 1-on-1s, offering the ultimate chance to improve his criticized coverage skills. He chased Barkley downfield and broke up an underthrown pass. \u201cHe is more than a downhill linebacker,\u201d inside linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer said.<\/p>\n

Bad<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graham Gano waited about 2 hours, 30 minutes for his only field-goal attempt of practice \u2013 and he missed for the first time in his week on the roster. It was the final snap of the day.<\/p>\n

Caught my eye<\/strong><\/p>\n

Corey Coleman took the top off the defense twice, including once against top cornerback James Bradberry. Coleman is a tier below the Giants\u2019 top three receivers but, as a former first-round pick playing for his fourth team, has a higher profile than the many undrafted receivers bidding for a roster spot. He has cut around the field with no hint of last year\u2019s ACL surgery.<\/p>\n

Medical report<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wide receiver Darius Slayton spent most of practice indoors and app<\/a>eared on the field only to ride the stationary bike. Safety Jabrill Peppers, offensive linemen Spencer Pulley and Shane Lemieux, and tight end Rysen John left practice. Linebacker Ryan Connelly and fullback Eli Penny continue to train off to the side.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a couple guys dealing with some craps,\u201d coach Joe Judge said. \u201cDarius wasn\u2019t present in practice today. The trainers are dealing with him.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
