It&#8217;s the strongest debut of the singer&#8217;s career, and a huge increase from her previous effort \u2014 her debut album <i>Ctrl<\/i>, released in 2017, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hiphopdx.com\/news\/id.43827\/title.hip-hop-album-sales-szas-ctrl-debuts-on-billboard-200\">moved 60,000 units<\/a> in its first week.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            According to <i>Billboard<\/i>, the first-week sales of <i>SOS<\/i> contain the most first-week streams for an R&amp;B album in history. However, SZA herself has taken exception with the label. \u201cI\u2019m so tired of being pegged as [an] R&amp;B artist,\u201d she told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/cover\/sza-cover-story-sos\/\"><i>Consequence<\/i><\/a> this month. \u201cI feel like that\u2019s super disrespectful, because people are just like, \u2018Oh, \u2018cause you\u2019re Black, this is what you have to be\u2019 \u2013 like, put in a box. And I hate that. With songs on this album, it\u2019s supposed to help round out the picture and the story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>            <i>SOS<\/i> is the fifth-biggest debut of 2022.
