It\u2019s a rollercoaster\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Laura revealed in the vid she\u2019d been \u201cpanicking\u201d about her mom\u2019s Christmas card tradition since the summer months when she realized she\u2019d no longer be married by the time the holidays rolled around:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63a476a7bae40-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMy mom sends me the first draft, which basically details every indiscretion that my ex-husband did after he let me know that he wanted a divorce and didn\u2019t want to work on anything. I am not thrilled with this information. I would frame it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>So what to do? Send the lengthy letter to \u201c500 people who don\u2019t know me from Adam\u201d, of course! Laura gave her mom the green light to spread all the gory details of her previous divorce. Too funny! We\u2019ve heard of getting socks for Christmas \u2014 but not dirty laundry!<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63a476a7bae48-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>And we know you\u2019re dying to know what that letter said just like us \u2014 thankfully the TikTok user provided an update with a screenshot of exactly what her mother said. The letter begins:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u201cOur 2022 could probably best be labeled as \u2018a year of the unexpected\u2019 both in good and bad ways. You know the saying, \u2018The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry\u2019. But honestly, isn\u2019t that just life?\u201d\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>The meddling mom then went on to write that Laura and her now ex-hubby Jake moved to Tennessee to work where they both landed jobs at <strong>Dolly Parton<\/strong>\u2018s theme park, <strong>Dollywood<\/strong>. He refused all suggestions of counseling, declared that he wanted a divorce, and began living as though he was single (to put it kindly). Laura was blindsided and devastated. Caroline explained that Laura finished her summer contract with Dollywood before moving back to Atlanta, where she now works at Simplicity Pediatric Therapy. All things considered, she\u2019s doing quite well, although, there is a lot of healing that still needs to happen. Her divorce became final on September 19, two days before what would have been her three-year wedding anniversary. It has been hard watching someone we love so much go through such a painful time.
