December, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/autos-transportation\/tesla-suspends-production-shanghai-plant-internal-notice-2022-12-24\/\" class=\"icon none\">Reuters reported<\/a> Saturday. <\/p>\n<p> Reuters reported earlier this month that the electric car giant planned to suspend Model Y production at the plant\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/autos-transportation\/tesla-suspend-model-y-output-shanghai-last-week-dec-memo-2022-12-09\/\" class=\"icon none\">from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       The suspension comes among a rising wave of infections after China eased its zero-Covid policy earlier this month, an abrupt move welcomed by businesses and the public but Covid cases are rising quickly filling hospitals and emptying pharmacy shelves. <\/p>\n<p>Tesla<br \/>\n        TSLA,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203558040\/lastsale\" class=\"negative\">-1.76%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       is also gr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ling with elevated inventory levels as its second largest market braces for a downturn. <\/p>\n<p>The plant\u2019s suspension of Model Y assembly at the end of the month would be part of a cut in planned production of about 30% for the month for the model, Tesla\u2019s best-selling model, at the Shanghai factory.<\/p>\n<p>The Shanghai factory, the most important manufacturing hub for Elon Musk\u2019s electric vehicle company, kept normal operations during the last week of December last year.<\/p>\n<p>Tesla stock has 55% of its value over the past three months. Two issues have weighed heavily on shares: CEO Elon Musk\u2019s management of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> platform Twitter after taking it private, which has hurt investor sentiment, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ized anxiety about weakening demand for EVs. <\/p>\n<p><strong>See<\/strong>: Tesla short sellers have collected nearly $14 billion since Elon Musk agreed to buy Twitter, making Tesla the most profitable short of 2022<\/p>\n<p>Auto manufacturing plants typically take breaks during the holidays.
