Why can\u2019t we watch it out of order?\u201d Garcia told The Post. \u201cAnd heist stories, which have always been my favorite genre, are always about loyalty and who is really on whose side, and shifting identities. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor a show that\u2019s meant to come into different characters at different times, and see them at different facets, it felt like a smart way to merge the two things: heist and nonlinear [storytelling].\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Premiering Jan. 1 and executive-produced by Ridley Scott,\u00a0\u201cKaleidoscope\u201d follows a group of characters getting together to pull off a high-stakes caper. There\u2019s mastermind Leo Pap (Giancarlo Esposito); weapons specialist\/ attorney Ava Mercer (Paz Vega); explosives expert Judy Goodwin (Rosaline Elbay); safe cracker Bob Goodwin (Jai Courtney); smuggler Stan Loomis (Peter Mark Kendall;, and driver RJ Acosta JR (Jordan Mendoza). for instance, one is set six weeks before the heist, one the morning after, another seven years in the past. The grand finale is the heist itself.<\/p>\n<p>Garcia said he had several influences, including classic heist films such as the 1955 French movie \u201cRififi\u201d as well as other nonlinear stories including \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d and \u201cMemento.\u201d In order to pull off this unusual structure, he set up rules in his writers room and also filled it with \u201cWhiteboards upon whiteboards. We probably broke the whiteboard budget for the show. We don\u2019t have that. We are ceding the structure to the audience,\u201d he said. \u201cBut at the same time, you have to be able to introduce people to characters in a way that grabs their attention, no matter when they\u2019re watching. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe looked at every episode as a pilot. One of the questions was, \u2018If you saw this episode first, what do you think this show is about?\u2019 We made sure that no matter what you watch first, it felt like \u2026 a different show. There\u2019s an episode that starts 24 years in the past and you\u2019re seeing that origin story. There\u2019s so much stuff on TV and I think people want something different,\u201d he said. \u201cSome people have been like, \u2018I\u2019m going to find out the order, and watch it chronologically.\u2019 That\u2019s fine, I don\u2019t have a problem with it. There is no perfect order, as far as I\u2019m concerned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a percentage of people who will watch it just as a heist show, and that\u2019s great,\u201d he said \u201cAnd there\u2019s a percentage of people who are going to watch it and enjoy the out-of-order aspect, coming into it in different ways and discussing it with their friends. And there are people \u2014 and I count myself among them, usually \u2014 who get deep into the woods and start looking for easter eggs and clues and go online and on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do hope that those exist as well.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
