\n New York\u2019s Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio made an appearance at the 2020 Republican National Convention on Monday \u2014 in a video trashing their response to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

The clip featured prominent Democrats, in the early days of the nation\u2019s outbreak, downplaying the risk of the virus, which has since killed at least 177,000 Americans.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t even think it\u2019s going to be as bad as in other countries,\u201d Cuomo says in the footage.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Hizzoner is seen telling New Yorkers to \u201cgo about your lives, go about your business\u201d in the days before the pandemic hit hard in New York.<\/p>\n

House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi also has a cameo.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is fine here. We do want to say to people, \u2018come to Chinatown,’\u201d the California lawmaker says.<\/p>\n

The clip then cuts to footage of President Trump giving a salute in front of several American flags, as a voiceover declares: \u201cOne person took decisive action to save lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video touts Trump\u2019s actions to fight the outbreak, such as restricting travel<\/a> from China and other COVID-19 hot-spots and signing the CARES Act, a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus bill meant to provide relief amid the pandemic.<\/p>\n

However, the montage doesn\u2019t include a clip of Trump saying in January that the outbreak was \u201cunder control.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It\u2019s going to be just fine,\u201d he said at the time.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
