According to a <strong>TikTok<\/strong> posted by her sister on Monday, around 4:13 p.m. Anndel sent a video of her snow-covered car along with a message that read:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cstuck in a f**king blizzard\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63acf0c381280-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One of her sisters, <strong>Sylva<\/strong>, not yet realizing the severity of the situation responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLmao \u2026 that\u2019s the weather SpongeBob had to deliver them pizzas in\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Sadly, though, the situation wasn\u2019t at all lighthearted. Anndel explained her predicament in another message, saying she\u2019d been trying to drive but there was \u201csnow up to the tires\u201d of her car:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63acf0c381284-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSon I\u2019m still here been here since 3 the car I\u2019m driving muffler damn near on the ground already then snow up to the tires like I\u2019m mad irritated\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After being asked if she had heat in her car and if she was okay, the 22-year-old responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been in and out [of the car] shoveling [snow] mike just called the fire department tho they sending a cop to me idk how long thats gunna take\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63acf0c381288-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Around 8:28 p.m. \u2014 nearly 6 hours after she first got trapped \u2014 her family became more worried, asking once again if she was okay. Anndel was trapped and the police hadn\u2019t come to her rescue yet:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cit look like ima sleep here idk how long this gas will last<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>I\u2019m livid bro my door damn near covered\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63acf0c38128b-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Her sister, <strong>Tomeshia<\/strong>, asked if the cops had \u201cbeen on the way for 2 hours\u201d to which the nursing student said \u201cthey get stuck too\u201d. Tomeshia responded in annoyance:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cUNPREPARED !!! In a state known for it !\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Anndel continued to try and contact police and the fire department but no one was answering, and she assumed they must all be out and about during the hectic storm. At 11:55 p.m. she was still stuck in the snow, saying it was as deep as her waist, and if no one had come by morning she was going to walk through the pile to get help. Heartbreakingly, she wouldn\u2019t make it until morning\u2026<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63acf0c38128f-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The next day, at around 9 a.m., the family once again took to the group chat to ask if anyone had heard from their loved one. Another sister, <strong>Nequa<\/strong>, said she\u2019d tried to call \u201c3 times\u201d but no one could get ahold of Anndel. They tracked her phone\u2019s location to see it was last pinged in the same spot of the road she was stuck in the day before.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty hours after Anndel\u2019s initial texts, police finally arrived but it was too late. On Christmas Eve around 9 p.m. they found the soon-to-be-23-year-old\u2019s body in her car. Her mother, <strong>Wanda Brown<\/strong> <strong>Steele<\/strong>, shared to the <em>New York Post<\/em> on Tuesday she believes her daughter passed of carbon monoxide poisoning since snow covered the exhaust pipe of her car and she slept with the engine running:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI think she went peacefully. She was laying back \u2014 she had her arms crossed and her foot up on the dashboard like she was peacefully asleep \u2026 That\u2019s a state, that\u2019s a city, that has this going on all the time \u2014 why [weren\u2019t] they prepared?
